The Bold Steps for Children Award
Our 2009 Honoree - Applied Materials
In 2002, Applied Materials took the bold step of shifting form a traditional education grantmaking approach to one of focused, strategic investment over a sustained period of time. Engaging partners and making investments at critical leverage points along the education pathway has led to measureable results in school readiness, the percentage of students performing on grade level and the percentage graduating and ready for college.
